EVO V-Band Turbo kit on the mockup motor

Here’s our new offering to replace our T3 EVO kit. This features our new primary sizing and utilizes PTE or Tial V-Band exhaust housings. Fitment is very similar to our T3 kit but places the turbo a slight bit closer to the block. This kit also keeps the Air Conditioning!

Here’s some pictures of the new DSM V-Band kit mounted up on our mock up motors! It clears the alternator with plenty of room and has tons of radiator clearance! The 3″ V-Band o2 housing makes for easy maintenance if removal is required.

New line of V-Band Turbo Manifolds

We started playing with some different primary sizing for our headers a couple years ago and the results came back very positive. Increased midrange power & torque, improved spoolup, and no power losses except in the most radical of setups and even then the losses were negligible. We started offering our T3 manifolds in this new primary size immediately and their performance has exceeded expectations so far! With the semi recent introduction of V-Band turbine housings from TiAL Sport and Precision Turbo we thought it was time to start offering manifolds for them. Not only do these new housing perform as good, or better, than the best T3 housings they offer substantial weight savings, easier installation, no chance of seized mounting bolts, and gasketless installation.

I’m glad I stuck with the project because these new V-Band housings combined with the new turbo technology that’s available makes for performance that I once never thought possible. Here’s an example of a HTA3076 on EVO X compared to the stock turbo. Note this car is stock with the exception of an exhaust, our GT30 turbo kit, intercooler, injectors, and a tune. Stock cams, stock motor, etc… . Not going to beat this boost response and make that kind of power…

Here’s our 3 new Mitsu V-Band manifolds gathered in a circle. From left to right: EVO IV-IX, DSM, EVO X…

Closing time…

It’s quarter after two in the morning and I thought I’d let my dogs out one last time before crashing. I saw the sky lighting up like crazy once again and thought what the hell. I spent about 15 minutes at my spot before the cops came to kick me out. After talking for a second one of them mentioned he was a photographer and gave me some shit for using Canon. They said I could stay until the front passed and stayed to watch as well. I gotta start going to bed at a decent hour!

Downtown Cleveland Alliance photo contest.

August 30th, 2011 No comments

Just after July 4th I overheard of a downtown Cleveland photo contest. After some digging on Facebook I found that the Downtown Cleveland Alliance was hosting the photo contest. Each person was allowed two entries and they were picking the top 20 out to be put on display in the Old Stone Gallery on Public Square. I thought this would be pretty neat to do so I put my entries in. I thought I had a couple good photos but I’ve never done anything like this and was a bit anxious to see if either photo would make it. I captured one photo on July 4th that I absolutely love. It was on w67th for the neighborhood firework bash. The other is from the lightning storm a couple weeks ago.

As it turns out the lightning photo was selected and it’s going to be on display at the Old Stone Gallery the entire month of September and is going to be featured on the LED board at Playhouse Square for a few days. Fucking cool!

Storms – 8/9/2011

I was on my way home last from the gym and noticed the northern sky lighting up a little. I had a bunch of work to get done but wasn’t in the mood. I grabbed the camera and headed for the lake. It was an awesome storm as it rolled across the lake just north of the shore. I captured a bunch of  lightning strikes and observed a beautiful sunset as well…

Do what you love.

Do what you love.
Follow the fellow that follows the dream.

These two sayings have been stuck in my head for a long time. For quite a while I have not been content just doing the Shearer Fab thing. I still love it and have a great amount of passion for the product we build but I’ve been aspiring to do something else also. I have so many great ideas(at least in my head they are) that I want to build and bring to life and it is time to make that happen.  So, please, bookmark this page and follow along on my new adventure.
